Air conditioning ducting is necessary to distribute treated air throughout a structure or building. This system of ducts known as ductwork, is the central component of a building’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Ducting is used only with large central air conditioning units and is not required for homes or small offices that use split systems or ductless air conditioning.
